The New Zealand Game Bird Grand Slam presents a challenging hunt, encompassing some diverse waterfowl and upland species: NZ Shoveler, Black Swan, paradise shelduck, grey duck, Pukeko, mallard, Canada geese, pheasant, quail, and chukar. Each species' unique characteristics and habitats test hunters as they pursue this impressive feat in the awe-inspiring Southern Lakes.

Mark set out for a hunt to remember, guided by the expertise of our seasoned team. From the marshlands where the NZ Shoveler and Paradise Shelduck take flight, to the forest and limestone cliffs where you will find the pheasant. Every day brought a new challenge, from unpredictable weather to rugged terrain, giving Mark the opportunity to test his skills as a hunter.
Throughout his hunt, Mark's efforts were rewarded as he achieved his ambitious goal of completing the New Zealand Game Bird Grand Slam. In addition to this, he also pursued a red stag, elk, and a whitetail, making for a truly memorable trip.

Whether you're a seasoned hunter wanting to add to your red stag pursuit or looking to expand your skills, integrating a duck hunt into your itinerary between the months of May and July ensures a rewarding and unforgettable hunting adventure. These prime months provide ideal conditions for duck hunting, offering you the opportunity to diversify your experience and make the most of your time outdoors.
